In home decoration, we always use all kinds of boards, whether it is the production of cabinets or furniture, whether it is customized by manufacturers or woodworkers at home, boards are the most basic materials. But there are many kinds of sheets, different uses require different sheets, which may not be understood by many people. This time, we will introduce in detail the characteristics of the most commonly used cabinets and wardrobes in the market.

1. Density plate

Fiberboard, also known as fiberboard, is made of wood fibers or other plant fibers as raw materials, urea-formaldehyde resin or other applicable adhesives. According to its density, it can be divided into high density plate, medium density plate and low density plate. Density board is easy to reprocess because of its soft and impact resistance. However, due to the fact that the national standard for density board is several times lower than the international standard, the use quality of density board in China still needs to be improved.

2. Plywood

The industry commonly known as thin core board, by three or more layers of 1 mm thick veneer or laminate paste hot pressing, is currently the most commonly used materials in hand-made furniture. The splints are generally divided into six specifications: 3, 5, 9, 12, 15 and 18 centimeters (1 centimeter refers to 1 mm).

3. Decorative panel

Decorative panel is a kind of decorative board with one-sided decorative function, which is made by precise planing and cutting solid wood board into thin veneer with thickness of about 0.2 mm, using plywood as the base material and gluing process. It is a special form of splint with a thickness of 3 mm. Decoration panel is a kind of advanced decoration material which is different from mixing method at present.

4. Large core board

Also known as blockboard. It is made of two pieces of veneer joined together by gluing and pressing. The price of large core board is cheaper than that of thin core board. Its vertical bending strength (distinguished by the direction of core material) is poor, but its transverse bending strength is higher.

5. Fireproof board

Fire-proof board is made of silica material or calcareous material as main raw material, which is mixed with a certain proportion of fiber material, lightweight aggregate, adhesives and chemical additives. The decorative board is made by autoclaving technology. It is a new type of material which is used more and more at present. Its use is not only because of fire protection. The construction of fire-proof board requires higher glue sticking, and the price of fire-proof board with better quality is more expensive than decorative panel. The thickness of fire protection board is generally 0.8 mm, 1 mm and 1.2 mm.

6. Particleboard

Particleboard is a thin sheet made of wood chips, glue and additives. Pressing methods can be divided into two categories: extruded particleboard and flat particleboard.

7. Melamine board

The full name is melamine impregnated paper veneer wood-based panels. It is a decorative board made by soaking paper with different colors or textures in melamine resin adhesives, drying it to a certain degree of curing, paving it on the surface of particleboard, medium density fiberboard or rigid fiberboard, and hot pressing.
